Certified therapy dog, Fred, and his human partner, Laurel, are waiting to listen to you read.  Improve your reading skills and bond with a friendly canine friend.

Coloring Contest: Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month (Ages 1 through Grade 6)
September 15 through October 15

Coloring sheets will be available on September 18.  There will be gift cards for three age levels.  Winners will be announced October 18.

Dr. Seuss Storytime (Ages 4-8)

Join us for Dr. Seuss stories and make a Dr. Seuss craft.

Ancient Civilizations: The Mysteries of the Minoans (Ages 9-13)
Wednesday, October 13 at 6:30 p.m.

This is a brand-new addition to the Ancient Civilizations program series.  The Minoan civilization remains the most mysterious ancient civilization today.  Who were the Minoans?  How did their civilization fall?  Was this the lost kingdom of Atlantis?  We invite you to explore this lost world which scholars are still trying to piece together.   To see past Ancient Civilizations programs and to learn about what is to come with the Minoans, click here.

Create some fun Halloween crafts, enjoy a snack and listen to creepy music.

Learn how puppets move and speak.  Then invite your friends and family to watch you perform at a show following the class.  The show is open to the public at 7:00 p.m.  Sign up for one or all dates!  Meeting Room

The wonders of the night sky will be available for viewing through the powerful telescopes of the Lake County Astronomical Society (weather permitting).

Our annual American Tea features American Girl dolls, their books and trivia. Join us as we talk about our favorites, create a holiday craft and enjoy some special snacks. Bring your American Girl Doll or another favorite doll.
