Library Dogs!
As you may know, we offer regular programs Paws To Read–now featuring Fred!–where children are invited to read to a trained therapy dog. Not only do the children develop a friendship with a warm and cuddly pooch but also they develop their reading skills! Our library began this program with Lad a few years ago and because of the success of this program it has continued. However, Round Lake is not the only library participating in this innovative reading encouragement program; many other libraries feature this as well!
