Round Lake Area Public Library

The following policy regarding the circulation of R-rated videos to minors was adopted at the May 19th meeting of the Board of Library Trustees meeting of the Round Lake Area Library and is effective July 1, 2004:

Children under the age of seventeen may check out an R-rated video only if a parent or adult guardian is present at the time of check out.

Discussion at both the May 19th and June 16th meetings of the Board reflects that the R-rating refers to the system used by the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) and no other ratings system.
