Library Board President – Diane Klein

Biography: Diane is the operator/owner of Carousel Hair and Tan Center in Round Lake Beach. She has been a licensed hair dresser for 29 years. Diane has been married to her husband Jack for 21 years. They have one wonderful son, Joe.

Biography: Cathy is the Board’s former Vice-President and former President. She has served on the Library Board for 18 years. Cathy, who has a Master’s in Education from Concordia University, teaches Language Arts at Round Lake Middle School. Her husband, Derrick, is a Fire Captain in Round Lake. They have three grown children, two dogs and three granddogs!

Biography: Shari grew up in southwestern Ohio and enjoyed a career in banking. After moving with her husband and three daughters to Round Lake in 2001, she has been an active volunteer in church, school, and community activities. She enjoys sports, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.

Biography: Brad grew up in Bridgeview and Oak Lawn, IL. (southwestern suburbs of Chicago). Brad and his partner Craig (partners for 25 years) moved to Round Lake in 1999. Brad’s mother now lives with them and Brad serves as her at-home caregiver.

Biography: Linda has been on the Library Board since 1975. She has served as the Treasurer and Secretary. Linda, a homemaker, is married to Rev. Lisle Kauffman. They have one son, Lisle III, who is married and lives in Kansas. Linda’s hobbies include counted cross stitch, knitting, reading, gardening, traveling and watching I Love Lucy. The Kauffman’s own a black cat named Magnum.
